One is for tympani, one for an unspecified instrument. The vocal parts are in German and are manuscript or holograph. Several bear performers' names. Many are incomplete or fragmentary and there are several miscellaneous pages. The chorus parts are in German. They include one set of eight holograph parts in German, three manuscript parts in German, as well as four miscellaneous pages. The librettos consist of one English book, printed by Richardson & Foos, 1879, with the English text adapted by Henry S. Leigh, and three German librettos, published by L. Rosner, Wien, 1876; Wallishauffschen, Wien, 1884; and one which bears the date of 1879, New York. The promptbooks include books in English and German. Two of the English books are by the Gravuretype Co., 1879, Boston, and are part of the Gravuretype Series of Librettos. The other is made up of the text of this libretto pasted into a ledger which contains mimeo manuscript annotations. It includes photograph plates, engravings, color pictures of costumes, and manuscript descriptions of each character's costume. It also includes a playbill pasted in, dated Monday, June 2nd, 1879, and lists the cast of the performance. One book consists of the libretto by Richardson & Foos, New York, 1879, bound into a lined ledger; one by Ditson, Boston (c1879) with interleaved pages of annotations, including a scene plot; one English manuscript book; and three typed books in English, one of which includes alternate handwritten text. The German promptbooks include two manuscript books, one labelled "mise en scene," the other "inspicieat"; and two printed books by L. Rosner, Wien, 1877. The dialogue parts are in German and English. One "set" consists of 21 parts in German manuscript. One set consists of six German manuscript parts, several of which are fragmentary; and a set of seven incomplete or fragmentary parts in German manuscript. There is also one mimeoed part, in German. The English parts consist of five manuscript parts. Several of these dialogue parts carry performers' signatures.
